The country’s Indigenous grape varieties, like Odesa Black and Telti-Kuruk, provide a tasting experience that’s rare and distinct, allowing you to explore new and unexpected flavours. You can also savour your favourite classic grape varieties crafted by the country’s top artisanal producers.

“On the one hand, Ukrainian winemaking has ancient roots and traditions dating back to antiquity. However, much of this heritage was destroyed during the colonial policy of the Soviet Union, so now we are seeing a revival of Ukrainian winemaking, sometimes restoring traditions, and sometimes starting from scratch. These are often small projects, family wineries that want to make quality and interesting wines even in such tough times for the country. I think it is essential to support them by at least tasting their wines, spreading the word, and knowing more about Ukraine. Thus I would like to share some of the wonderful Ukrainian wines with you. Each project and each wine has an impressive story worth hearing.”
